What does the printer rely on to recognize ink cartridges?

Firstly, the printer is unable to recognize if your cartridge has been modified.

There is a chip above the cartridge which records the number of sheets printed.

For instance, if a cartridge’s counter is set at 1000, once the machine prints 1000 sheets, it will prompt that ink is low.

In essence, the printer itself does not detect ink levels; it relies entirely on the chip’s count.

When the machine prompts that the cartridge is not original, it’s because of inconsistency in data between the non-original cartridge and the original cartridge chip.

The appearance of the cartridge is irrelevant; as long as the machine can still function, the prompts can be disregarded!

Therefore, choose compatible cartridges and chips that can be recognized, ensuring data matching for stable and durable printing work!
